No Illusions

I follow both Berry Punches on tumblr, and that's what inspired this picture -- Pinchy cuddling with her passed-out mom.

It hits a personal note with me, though, as the child of an alcoholic. Yes, it's cute... but at the same time, it's not. (And, yes, it is an almost direct response to this. Again, kid of an alcoholic and a father myself. It's a terrible, well-written and drawn post that kicked me in the gut and forced art out of me. So, thank you, Skoon, for indirectly helping me through my demons with a pony askblog.)
